Shandong Science and Technology Museum Proposal
As a Museum Operation Analyst at the Shandong Science and Technology Museum since September 2022, I have contributed to enhancing visitor engagement by analyzing and improving operational effectiveness. In August 2024, I authored a comprehensive 19-page proposal identifying 21 key issues impacting the visitor experience and offering actionable recommendations for improvement. My insights were well-received by the museum, with official acknowledgment, and my work garnered public attention through coverage in Qilu Evening News.
STEM Proposal Submitted to the Government
As the author of a STEM education proposal submitted to the government, I led an initiative to enhance science engagement in middle schools by integrating Shandong Science & Technology Museum resources into the curriculum. From September to December 2023, I surveyed nearly 900 community members, analyzing their feedback on the museum's role in STEM education. Based on these insights, I developed a five-page proposal for the local People’s Political Consultative Conference, advocating for initiatives like Open Days, STEM lectures, competitions, and expanded volunteer opportunities. This proposal contributed to the founding of the Shandong You Science and Technology Education Association in January 2024, promoting STEM education locally. Additionally, I shared the proposal process with 800 students during two school assemblies, inspiring peers to engage in impactful community projects.
Shandong Science and Technology Museum Volunteer
I organized visits to the Shandong Science and Technology Museum for over 150 primary students, creating explanatory guides and planning educational routes to enhance their experience. As an official museum volunteer, I also guided visitors through interactive exhibits and managed project experiences. To expand the program, I recruited more than 20 classmates and alumni to join my team, maximizing the museum's resources for a broader audience. Over 100 hours, I honed my skills as a guide and deepened my understanding of the museum, transitioning from a visitor to an integral part of its operations.
AHA Certificate
As a certified Heartsaver by the American Heart Association, I completed the Heartsaver course and exam in June 2022 at Shandong Provincial Hospital, Jinan. This certification demonstrates my proficiency in CPR and first aid for emergency response. I regularly retrain to stay current, with 10 hours of training over the past two years, enhancing my readiness to respond swiftly and effectively in crisis situations.
Linggu Club
As a volunteer tutor with the Linggu Club, a nonprofit focused on educational support for underprivileged students, I dedicated my time to teaching English and biology to 40 primary school students in Jinan's underserved neighborhoods. Through weekly two-hour sessions, I worked to expand students' vocabulary, improve their language skills, and foster a genuine interest in learning. This experience allowed me to make a meaningful impact on their educational journey while supporting the Linggu Club’s mission.
Marathon Volunteer
In September 2023, I volunteered at the Jinan Marathon, contributing to the event's smooth operation by supporting athletes and maintaining the route's cleanliness. My role involved distributing water to runners and clearing trash along the course, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for participants. This four-hour experience allowed me to engage in community service, witness the dedication of marathon runners up close, and contribute to an event that brought people together in Jinan.
Class Monitor and Student Ambassador
In my roles as Class Monitor, Student Ambassador, and AP tutor, I’ve actively contributed to my school community in various capacities. As Class Monitor since September 2022, I’ve organized weekly meetings, represented my class at school events, and coordinated with teachers and peers on initiatives like the Sports and Reading Festivals.
As a Student Ambassador from 2023 to 2024, I launched a tutoring program supporting 40 students in AP subjects and recruited 20 fellow tutors to expand its reach. Additionally, I personally tutored AP Physics for five junior students, helping them strengthen their understanding and confidence in the subject. Through these experiences, I have developed leadership, collaboration, and mentoring skills that have enriched both my own learning and the school community.
